Topical gel Apple Cider Vinegar and Fruit for Fat Loss

FAT-FIGHTING ZONE

New topical gel for spot reduction
People have been trying to spot reduce for as long as they’ve been working out. Women want to target their thighs, men want to target their lower backs, and everyone wants to target their abs. Scientists at LSU may have found the answer to our prayers. Theobromine and theophylline are like the bare-knuckle versions of caffeine, the substance that makes cells more sensitive to adrenaline and thus raises metabolic rate and causes the body to burn fat. Aminophylline, the molecule the researchers chose to make the cream out of, is composed of two theophylline molecules. After 50 overweight men and women rubbed the gel on their waists for 12 weeks and dieted, it was noted that the cream doubled the rate at which the measurement decreased compared to the group that only dieted. Look for this cream at a cosmetic or supplement store near you!

It tastes like burning, but it works
Apple cider vinegar is one of those supplements for which you have to plug your nose before it goes down the hatch. It tastes awful and smells worse. Yet we’ve been using it as a weight-loss supplement for decades because it works! You can take it as a shot or sprinkle it on your salad as part of a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Researchers in Japan surmised that when acetic acid (the primary constituent in vinegar) is given to people with type 2 diabetes, their blood sugar level goes down. This is a key to fat loss in people without diabetes as well. Acetic acid causes a lower rise in sugar levels after eating and, when taken on its own, it ensures muscles cells use glucose more carefully, rather than storing it.

New study shows fruit makes you fat and lazy
Do we have your attention? That was a little harsh, we know, but researchers in Illinois have demonstrated that after being fed a high-fructose diet, mice tended to move less than when fed a high-glucose diet. Fructose and glucose are molecularly different, and the body doesn’t break down fructose as easily. In the study, two groups of mice were given the exact same amount of glucose and fructose for 11 weeks. How does this apply to you? The researchers said, “In support of our observations, a recent study reported that ingestion of fructose (25% energy intake, 10 weeks) in human volunteers also resulted in reduced energy expenditure.” So if you’re trying to diet, taking sugar out of your meal plan may be your best bet.
