How Many Components Are There To Physical Activity?

They're four components to physical activity: frequency (how often), intensity (how hard), type (what kind), and time (how long). In a recent study, researchers found that time and intensity of physical activity were independently related to change in fat mass. What’s interesting, though, is that the results were different between genders. It was intensity of exercise that contributed to fat loss in both men and women, but time had more of an effect in men than women.
