Nathan De Asha NOT Competing At Toronto Pro SuperShow
2018 Toronto Pro SuperShow Preview Sponsored By ALLMAX
If you saw our recent Toronto Pro SuperShow predictions article by Branden Liezert, you'll remember that we listed England’s Nathan De Asha as the favourite to win the Men’s Open Bodybuilding class. Well this caused a HUGE controversy in the industry as the IFBB Pro League had not listed Nathan as competing in this show but Nathan himself went public saying he was! See video below.
With Nathan’s two recent IFBB Pro wins in New York and California, we felt he was currently in the best shape of his life which is why we predicted he would be unbeatable at the Toronto Pro. Shortly after this story went live, emails started flooding in saying that Nathan wasn’t competing and we had our facts wrong! So we contacted Nathan who explained that the video he posted on social media where he said he was competing at the Toronto Pro SuperShow was just done to pull a prank on rival Juan “Diesel” Morel. Nathan explained:
“I was just winding Juan up for fun…I would have loved to come to Toronto, one of my best cities if not the best city, just I had a family holiday booked. Miss my kids.” -Nathan De Asha, IFBB Pro
When Does The Competitors List Come Out?
Every Monday prior to a pro show, the IFBB Pro League issues the official competitors list. It's at that time that all media sources are in a mad race to be the first to get this news out there. But sometimes this list changes slightly as last-minute entries come in which makes the first list not always the final list. At the time that we posted our Toronto Pro SuperShow predictions article and competitors list, Cedric McMillan was not listed by as competing which is why we didn’t have him listed. But a newer version of the list came out later and we’ve since updated our website to include Cedric and many other late entries that came in.
At Muscle Insider, we always strive to get you the latest bodybuilding news as soon as it happens. As more info comes in these stories may change, but we will always update our facts if they do. We apologize for any confusion this has caused.
