Do The Pros Really Take Supplements
Q. Do the pros that you’ve known actually use the supplements that companies give them?
A. It’s true: Supplements can help you achieve results faster, and with consistent work and dedication, you’ll see improvement. However, any athlete who has any amount of integrity is going to tell you that supplements are part of the total package of being an athlete, but don’t replace a good diet, a strategic training program and time. Supplements may give you an edge by helping you retain muscle, have increased energy, and recover more quickly as well as assisting you in your intense training efforts. With that said, the pros I know who are representing specific products are usually using those products; however, you can’t doubt that their physiques were actually created by hours, months, and years toiling in the gym and kitchen. Their success made them interesting to the supplement companies, and they represent a look that the supplement companies believe would be interesting to their target market.
