Snickers Protein Powder Coming To Canada
In the U.K. Snickers protein bars have been widely available for a few years now and made their way into Canada last year thanks to our friends over at True North Nutrition. These bars took off like wildfire as everyone wanted to know if they actually tasted like the real thing. They did taste great but of course no protein bar can ever taste exactly the same as a candy bar due to the low sugar content and high protein content. But it’s a freak’n protein bar (not a candy bar) and these protein bars tasted fantastic. In the U.K. the company behind Snickers (Mars), has also released a Snickers Protein (and a Mars Protein but we’ll save that for another day), and these are now coming to Canada through True North. Each serving contains 21 grams of protein, 141 calories, 5 grams of carbs, 4 grams of fat and each bag contains 25 servings. You won’t see the protein powder (or bars for that matter) in mass market stores as Mars doesn’t want them to be confused with their candy bar which makes sense. You also won’t see these on Amazon.com due to the fact that their shipping into Canada from the U.K. and will not be distributed in the U.S. This combination blocks US Amazon resellers from having a price advantage to feasibly sell them online. They’re also not labelled for the U.S. so importing them into the U.S. in any large quantity would be very difficult. So Canada and the U.K. are the best countries to get your hands on this new Snickers protein powder!
