Pure Protein Launches 3 New Flavours In Canada
Pure Protein bars have been around for almost 20 years. These low carb bars make for a convenient and tasty addition to an active lifestyle and are found EVERYWHERE! These are easy to toss in your bag as you head out for the day, so you won’t get caught short on your protein fix. Three new flavours of Pure Protein are now available in Canada. The new flavours are Lemon Cake, Vanilla Almond, and Peanut Butter Cup. While there are slight variations in macros depending on which flavour you choose, each 50-gram bar provides you 20 grams of protein (40% protein by weight), roughly 7 grams of fat, and 16 grams of carbohydrates (2 grams of sugar), for a total of 190 calories.
Which New Pure Protein Flavour Is Best?
Out of the three flavours we tried, we liked the Peanut Butter Cup best. This layered bar has a great texture and the overall taste is great. It has the traditional chewy taste of a Pure Protein bar but it's not hard and like other chewey low-carb bars we've reviewed. The Lemon Cake flavour was a close second and we were surprised as Lemon Cake isn't exactly anyone's first desert choice unless you're over at your grandma's house and she's serving it up! But this one was a nice treat. Not too sweet and much softer than the Vanilla Almond and Peanut Butter Cup flavours. The Vanilla Almond has a nutty taste (like a Kind bar) but with a sweet vanilla coating and chewy (not hard) center. All three were tasty and made our "working from home" binge eating healthier than if we were left alone with no Pure Protein bars in the building!
Not only are these Pure Protein Bars non-GMO, but they are also gluten-free and made with no artificial sweeteners. For more information, visit the Pure Protein website and be sure to stay up to date with them on Instagram.
