BioX which is one of the oldest Canadian sports supplement company that keeps chugging along. Established in 1988, BioX has made a business by producing low-cost supplements in the basic commodity-type categories. In December we previewed their Muscle Amino and it looks like the product did okay and now has a juicy watermelon flavour added to the lineup. BioX Muscle Amino contains 10 amino acids in total, 9 of which are essential amino acids and they’ve added glutamine which is a conditionally essential amino. Glutamine is often added to EAAs, BCAAs and protein powder to lower the cost but some people want more glutamine so BioX is giving it to them. Each 11 gram serving contains 6 grams of EAAs which is 55.4% EAAs by weight. Muscle Amino comes in 2 sizes, the first is a 550 gram size which delivers 50 servings. The second is a 200 grams size which delivers approximately 18 servings. It also comes in Blue Raspberry, Refreshing Orange, and a Citrus Twist.
