VPX BANG Master Blaster Product review

VPX: All Banged Up!

When VPX released its revolutionary pre-workout RTD, Bang, the market went crazy. Bang isn’t quite a soda, and it’s not quite your typical pre-workout drink. It has no sugar, no crash-and-burn effect, and no useless ingredients (such as artificial colours) just to get you hyped like the average energy drink! VPX’s Bang was a game changer: a carbonated RTD with creatine, caffeine, coenzyme Q10, and branched-chain amino acids. This was a game changer in the RTD and pre-workout worlds! Around the time of the 2015 Olympia, VPX revealed its revolutionary fat burner Redline was now coming out in a new version: Redline Master Blaster. Could the original Bang have the same fate? An upgrade from the old formula?

VPX’s Bang, Revamped! Introducing BANG Master Blaster

"Make no mistake, new Bang Master Blaster is not your stereotypical life-sucking/muscle destroying pre-workout "concentrate."" With the addition of the “Master Blaster” to the name comes an improvement in the product! Bang Master Blaster is the powder version of VPX’s pre-workout RTD, Bang. The ingredients and formula are pretty different from the original. If you know Jack Owoc, you know his obsession with getting formulas just right. He has a fixation on the science behind things, and why certain ingredients should (or shouldn’t be combined) and why. And all products must be backed and tested by research, of course. So on one hand, when we saw the ingredient list for Bang Master Blaster, we knew that we were getting a major step up from the original. But on the other hand, if it ain’t broke, Jack doesn’t fix it, so there’s a similar combination of the main ingredients in the powdered version as in the RTD.

BANG Master Blaster Under the Microscope
We love that VPX shows complete transparency when it comes to the Bang Master Blaster label. We know exactly which ingredients we’re getting, and in what quantities. “Powerful bodybuilding amounts of potent muscle building ingredients. No pixie dusting or proprietary blends.” We believe VPX, because the scoop size for Bang Master Blaster is 26.5 grams. That’s almost as much as a typical scoop of protein! We know pre-workout powders to average 8 to 11 grams per scoop. VPX clearly has spared no expense and believes in getting everything in the product, so if that means a 26.5 gram scoop, then so be it!

At the top of the label, VPX’s Bang Master Blaster prides itself on its patented blend of BCAAs, which are dosed at 7500 milligrams, with a 2:2:1 ratio of L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-valine. Then it adds 6000 milligrams of citrulline malate, 5000 milligrams of creatine, 2500 milligrams of betaine anhydrous, 2400 milligrams of beta-alanine, 350 milligrams of caffeine, and 250 milligrams of a creatine-leucine peptide called “Patented Super Creatine.” Clearly VPX has created a perfect ratio and combination of ingredients for bodybuilding, with full doses of almost everything you could want in a pre-workout. This formula is one of the best ever made.

The other great facet of Bang Pre-Workout Master Blaster is that it's a finely ground powder. Whereas a lot of pre-workouts end up clumpy and chunky, the consistency of Bang is closer to that of a BCAA powder than a pre-workout.

How to Take Bang Master Blaster

Mix one scoop of Bang Pre-Workout Master Blaster with 12oz water. Start with 1/2 scoop to assess tolerance. The reason Bang suggests 12oz instead of the usual 4-8oz is because the scoop size is twice as big; so the taste would be WAY to strong (even for the most hardcore gym rat) if you didn't dilute it somewhat. Additionally, you'll have to assess whether this is a "15 or 30 minutes pre workout" type of supplement for you. If you're sensititve to caffeine, then DEFINITELY take it closer to your workout, as the caffeine will hit you hard and fast. If you're not as sensitive, then 20-30 minutes before you train should be enough time.

Final Thoughts on VPX’s Bang Master Blaster

I thought that once I tried the Lemon Drop Bang RTD, I was in love and this was it for me. I was finally going to settle into a monogamous relationship with this pre-workout. My world was turned on its axis when I tried Bang Master Blaster Lemon Drop, and I just may become polygamous. Honestly, the buzz, the focus, and the energy I get from Bang Master Blaster is so intense that picturing myself with anything else at this point seems hard. If Lemon Drop isn’t your thing, have no fear; Bang Master Blaster will replicate the original Bang RTD’s flavours: Blue Razz, Lemon Drop, Power Punch, Sour Heads and Star Blast.
