BENOIT BRODEUR AND JOE SPINELLO START APQ

The IFBB In Canada is referred to as the CBBF. This league has 9 divisions across Canada and puts on roughly 36 sanctioned shows in total each year. MUSCLE INSIDER is sponsoring all of these shows but that's not the point of this update! The Quebec division of the CBBF has always been the FCPAQ (which is short for the "Fédération de Culture Physique Amateure Québécoise). We're told that the Quebec government has had their hands tightly involved in the federation for sometime now. This has severely restricted what could and could not be done to make physique competition flourish. Let's face it folks, there aren't too many government policy makers that have even been to a bodybuilding show, let alone know how to make an extreme sport like ours exciting!

Well there's been changes brewing behind the scenes  for some time now that we've been aware of but they're now official! The FCPAQ has now officially been closed down and a new federation called the APQ has been formed! The APQ is simply short for Association des Physiques Québécois. Heading up the new federation is Benoit Brodeur (pictured above) and Canadian IFBB Pro Joe Spinello! These two have been huge supports of MUSCLE INSIDER and have been supporting the sport of bodybuilding throughout the Quebec market and across Canada for decades now. There's really no better duo to lead this federation than them Benoit and Joe!

La FCPAQ a été officiellement dissoute et liquidée, le 19 mars 2011, lors de l'assemblée générale des membres en règles de la Fédération de Culture Physique Amateur Québécoise et de la résolution du conseil d’administration.

Autrefois subventionnée par le gouvernement, l'entreprise APQ est maintenant privée et gérée par Benoit Brodeur et Joe Spinello.
