When we look at the excitement surrounding the upcoming 2020 Olympia, the Bikini category is really heating up! From what we've seen in recent updates, it seems pretty clear that Elisa (Isa) Pecini should be the runaway favourite, to successfully defend her title as the reigning Miss Bikini Olympia. Coming off a stellar performance from her Olympia win last year, her physique, posing, and overall presentation truly are the new standard for a Bikini Champion.

As for the rest of the top 6 in the Bikini Division this year, this is really going to be a battle. We can't count out the 2-time Bikini Olympia champion Angelica Teixeira who is coming off a big win at the Battle of Texas. While she did not come in at her best at the 2019 Olympia last year (dropping her down to 3rd place), she has some solid momentum and if she comes in the condition we know she's capable of, we very well could see her right beside Isa, giving her a run for her money.

Canada’s biggest name in the Bikini Division is that of Lauralie Chapados. After placing 4th at last year’s Olympia, she got right back at it and took the title at the 2019 Yamamoto Cup Pro Bikini, earning her qualification for this year’s show. Recent updates show that she's not taken this past year lightly, looking to get back to that top contender status she brought in 2018. We expect to see Lauralie in the top 3 this year, quite possibly runner up. If she can win, she will be the first Canadian to ever win the bikini Olympia title and will be immortalized in the bodybuilding history in her hometown of Montreal!

Janet Layug was runner up at last year’s Olympia but is coming off what appears to be the best season of her career. After the 2019 Bikini Olympia, she went on to win the 2019 Asia Grand Prix Pro Bikini and the 2019 Japan Pro Bikini. She did come 3rd overall behind Isa and Angelica, which leads us to believe Janet will likely end up in 4th place this year.

Jennifer Dorie is another Canadian sensation that's really been exciting to watch this year. Seeing as 2019 was only Dorie’s second time on the Olympia stage, it was very impressive to see her rise in the ranks so quickly, taking home 5th place. This year’s win at the 2020 Tampa Pro Bikini, in which she brought her most stunning physique to date, proved to everyone that she's worthy of another top 5 finish this year. Her boyfrind Mark Anthony Wingson is also Canadian and won the 2013 Olympia in Men's Physique so this household defintely knows what it takes to be the best in the world.

We would not want to count out Étila Santiago as a woman we consider to be a real wild card in this Bikini Division lineup. While she only placed 8th at the 2019 Olympia, she has gone on to win the 2019 Iron Games Pro Bikini, the 2020 New York Pro Bikini, as well as a 5th place finish at the 2020 Bikini International (Arnold Classic). We would not be surprised to see Étila make it into the top 5 in Orlando.

Two other Canadians we are keeping our eyes on at the 2020 Miss Bikini Olympia are Beatriz Biscaia (Dual Citizen Canada & Portugal) and Maia Gordon. Beatriz placed 12th at last year’s Olympia, but then came 2nd to Lauralie Chapados at the 2019 Yamamoto Cup Pro Bikini, plus a 7th place finish at the 2020 Bikini International.

This will be the first Olympia appearance for Maia Gordon, so while she's not expected to place near the top 5, we are incredibly proud of the progress she's made and wish her the best when she steps on that Olympia stage.

Muscle Insider’s John Cardillo is one of the premier fitness leaders in the bodybuilding industry. Here’s what John had to say on who will take the Bikini Division this year:

“I don’t see anyone beating Elisa Pecini. She’s got the ideal physique for bikini with the perfect balance of shape, muscle tone, perfect skin and an overall aesthetic worthy of the Olympia title. She also has a beautiful stage presence and confidence that sets her apart from the competition and something many competitors don’t put enough time into. I would like to see Lauralie Chapados take the title as she’s got a champion caliber physique also and it would be good for the sport to have a Canadian as the first Ms. Olympia in the bikini category.”  - John Cardillo
