Many weeks have passed since the Toronto Pro Super Show this past June, and IFBB Pro Mboya Edwards has slowly absorbed the reality of that night. Mboya is on his way to Mr. Olympia this September and he will be the first Canadian in history to have qualified for the 202 weight class! When talking to Edwards post show, he was still overwhelmed that his dream is within reach and he has made it to the show every bodybuilder aspires to compete in.

Post Toronto, Mboya took about two weeks off and was busy with a few photo shoots with MUSCLE INSIDER and MUSCLEMAG, as well as, taking some time to rest up, eat and focus mentally for the new challenges that lay ahead. Mboya had promised the Toronto fans that he would bring his best to the show in order to qualify for the big O and he did not let down his fans. So what does one do differently for the most coveted bodybuilding show an athlete can take part in, when followers and fans alike commented on Edwards being in the best conditioning of his career? You look at what you did and know that there's always room for improvement and you have the drive to get to it.

Under the guidance, mentoring and training of well known Toronto trainer, Issa Abdalla, Edwards is ready to put in all the hard work and focus into making his physique meet the standards of Mr. Olympia. Mboya will need to bring in all of that determination, focus and drive that he brought to Toronto and multiply it by 100 to ensure his body is prepared. Mboya is focusing on brining the look he had in Toronto but with the added mass and fullness that will make him standout from the competitors.

Jaw Dropping Dryness

Where else have you seen an athlete that was so conditioned and dry that even his hamstrings had striations on top of striations? Scott Welch even commented the night of the show that Mboya was ready,

"Toronto IFBB Pro Mboya Edwards brings the f'n house down with jaw dropping dryness!!! Looks untouchable. Every camera going off like crazy!!"

-Scott Welch, Ownwer MUSCLE INSIDER

Mboya realizes that this show is a chance of a life time and that even just qualifying for it makes him proud. Not only to step on stage where legends and role models that inspired Edwards to compete stood, but to represent Canada in such a huge way. Knowing that he made history through his qualification, lights the fire within Edwards to bring his best to the stage.

The Mr. Olympia 202 class has been around since 2008 and for the last two years, top spot went to Kevin English from the USA. Edwards has followed the 202 Mr. Olympia winner's career and is well aware of what he faces this September. He will use the training, feedback from his trainer, as well as the words spoken to him by legendary 6 time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates at the Blood & Guts Seminar in Toronto. Mboya is more determined than ever to make this year his year and knows how special this opportunity is. Only a handful of Canadian bodybuilders have graced the Olympia stage, and Edwards is determined to show and prove to all why he deserves to be there too.
