Tragic Loss for fitness industry family

When it comes to being a fit individual, it takes more than just regular exercise and a healthy diet - it also takes strong relationships and a good foundation for those relationships. We'd like to show our outpour of support and heartfelt sympathy to an individual in our Fitness Family.

Gina McDermott, a Women's Physique Champion and Registered Nurse employed with the Moncton Hospital in NB, lost her son Dylan on New Year's day in a tragic motor vehicle accident. Dylan was only 19 years old, but regardless of cause or age, this has been overwhelming for Gina as one can never be fully prepared for something like this.

Gina started competing in the fitness industry in 2009 under the watchful eye of Heather LeBlanc. Gina placed 3rd in the Master's Figure Division at the 2009 Atlantic Classic Championships and 2nd place Figure Medium Division at the 2009 New Brunswick Provincial Championships.  She did her final figure show at the 2010 Atlantic Classic Championships with a 3rd place finish and moved on to compete in the Women's Physique Division at the Atlantics in 2011 winning the very first title of this new division.  She continues to train regularly and attends every New Brunswick and Atlantic Classic show to support her fellow fitness competitors.  Gina has always been in the fitness scene and has performed many gestures of kindness, compassion and support to her fitness family.

Now it's time to support her through this unbearable tragic event.  We are here to lend a shoulder and an ear if you need us and feel free to turn to us at anytime for support!

Our deepest condolences and sympathy to Gina and her entire family during this unimaginable time in her life.  God Bless.

BASS RIVER, NB - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Dylan Thomas Warman 19, of Bass River on Thursday, January 1, 2015.  Born in Moncton, he was the son of Thomas Jr. Warman and Gina McDermott.  Dylan was employed as a truck driver.  He was a kind and funny guy with big dimples that was always smiling and lending a helping hand.  He loved to go hunting and especially going on "tours" spending time with his many friends.

Dylan will be sadly missed by his mother, Gina McDermott; his father, Thomas Jr; one brother, Riley; great grandmother, Yvonne Stewart; maternal grandparents, Leo & Farron McDermott; paternal grandfather, Thomas Warman (late Hilda) and his girl friend, Karlee Robertson.
