Team Muscletech Grows with Addition of Maureen Blanquisco!
Over the last several months, Muscletech has made it clear that they intend to be as prominent in the bodybuilding industry as they were in the 2000’s and early 2010’s. In November, they signed New York Pro Champion Blessing Awodibu, and they’ve now added an Olympia winner to their elite roster.
2022 Bikini Olympia Champion Maureen Blanquisco is now officially Team Muscletech. The news was shared eariler this month in an Instagram post.
“Please join us in welcoming 2022 Olympia Bikini champion and the current top-ranked bikini competitor in the world @maureenblanquisco.pro to Team MuscleTech!”
Blanquisco shared her own statement in a post of her own with the same image.
“I’m so proud to announce that I will be joining the longest standing supporter of Bodybuilding, Health and Fitness, is an honour and a privilege.
From 7-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath and 4-time Mr. Olympia winner Jay Cutler, Dexter Jackson, Henry Cavill, @muscletech have consistently supported our industry and I’m super happy to be signing with them as Ms Bikini Olympia 2022/23.”
Blanquisco is coming off a breakout year in 2022. Aside from the Bikini Olympia title, she also won the Boston Pro show. Blanquisco is a former Amateur Olympia winner as well, putting her in rare air on a list of competitors with both Amateur and Professional Olympia titles. Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay is also on that list.
Blanquisco is also on another short list – Team Muscletech athletes with Olympia titles. Other athletes in that group are Mr. Olympia winners Jay Cutler, Dexter Jackson, and Phil Heath. It’s worth noting that there weren’t as many divisions in the IFBB Pro League during that time.
Blanquisco is wasting no time working to make an impact for her new sponsor. She will make her first public appearance as a Team Muscletech athlete at the 2023 Arnold Sports Festival on Mar. 2nd through 5th, where she will spend time in the Expo booth to meet and greet fans. She will also be competing in the 2023 BIkini International contest, where she will look to win her first Arnold championship to go along with her Olympia title.
