Pittsburgh Pro to Expand and Add Expo in 2025

The 2024 Pittsburgh Pro was held on the weekend of May 10th and 11th at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown Hotel, and the event had the bodybuilding world buzzing. The show, promoted by IFBB Pro League President Jim Manion and his family, featured six Olympia-qualifying contests as well as the annual guest posing exhibition featuring several Olympia contenders as well as the current Sandow Trophy owner, Derek Lunsford.

Joining Lunsford onstage this year was past Arnold Classic winners Nick Walker and Samson Dauda, Andrew Jacked, Martin Fitzwater, Hunter Labrada, and Classic Physique superstars Ramon “Dino” Querioz and Urs Kalecinski. The athletes put on quite the show for the fans and had a lot of people in the crowd talking about what the 2024 Olympia would be like this October.
Many of the biggest names in the industry were there, including Chris Bumstead, Flex Wheeler, George Farah, and Olympia owner Jake Wood, among others. There is usually some announcement or news that comes from this event which gets some form of attention, and this year’s news came from IFBB Pro League Vice President Tyler Manion. Long story short, the Pittsburgh Pro is going to be an even bigger deal in 2025. You can see the news in the video below, filmed by Gilco Productions.

“We're taking this show, we’re going to turn it into a full-blown expo a mile down the road to the Pittsburgh Convention Center, and we’re blowing this thing up big time.” - Tyler Manion.
Manion went on to say they also intend to add even more prize money to the show for future years. They had already increased it from $36,000 to $72,000 in 2024. The Pittsburgh Pro had already been one of the more celebrated dates on the bodybuilding calendar because of the connection to the Manion family as well as the guest posing exhibitions, which date back decades. Pittsburgh is also where the IFBB Pro League and NPC headquarters are located. This latest move is only going to make that event an even bigger deal. This move will generate a lot of awareness and bring many more people to the Steel City to see what the Manions can put together in 2025.
