Mammoth Supplements 30-Day Challenge

Amateur bodybuilder Mark Ikonomu will eat only Mammoth Meal for the next 30 days. We’re all about to witness the outcome.

What if…you ate only bodybuilding supplements for a full month? Silly question, really, because none of us face that reality. But what if we did. Would we look better after 30 days, or would we totally balloon out like the guy in the 2004 film “Super Size Me”?

So with a volunteer guinea pig in hand, Mammoth Supplements undertook a startling experiment that began on New Year’s Day. Mark Ikonomu (@mark_ikon), 23-year-old amateur bodybuilder and self-described fitness nut, accepted the challenge of consuming only Mammoth Meal, their signature meal-replacement product, as well as only other Mammoth products and ingredients that can be blended into a shake for the full 30 days. While we have no idea as to what the outcome may become on January 31, Mammoth is so confident of its products that Mark’s journey is being documented online (@getmammoth), and before-and-after photos will be presented for the world to judge. Talk about putting your reputation on the table!

“Mammoth has given me the challenge to survive on nothing but Mammoth Meal for 30 days straight,” says Mark in the video link here. “I’ve never done anything like this before, and I’m looking forward to taking you with me on my journey.”

To be sure, Mammoth Meal is no ordinary MRP. For one, its E-Z Dose system is fully customizable, with each scoop containing 100 calories. Each scoop contains 10 grams of protein, 10 grams of carbs, and 2.25 grams of fat, so it’s easy to adjust your macros by adding more scoops based on your body size, goals, and metabolism. Five different protein sources are included for a well-rounded amino-acid profile and to lower the glycemic response of the meal, which tempers insulin release to reduce the likelihood of excess calories to be stored as body fat.

The food scientists at Mammoth also included nine whole-food carb sources, including gluten-free oats, pea starch, sweet potato, and organic sources of oat bran, amaranth, quinoa, buckwheat, millet, and chia. No cheap carb fillers here! And testosterone-boosting fats are also added, which not only provide the important fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, but also slow digestion as well. There are another eight superfoods listed on the label that Mammoth’s included for their health-boosting properties.

No one’s going to want to consume a product for 30 days that doesn’t taste great. Mammoth offers three flavours Muscle Insidertaste-tested last month and highly approve: Chocolate fudge brownie, strawberry shortcake, and vanilla ice cream.

But let’s face it: The proof is in the pudding. We hand over our hard-earned dollars expecting nutritional supplements that really make a difference, so we demand results. Will Mammoth pass the test? We’re all about to find out!
