Iovate Health Sciences and GNC Team Up For Hurricane Sandy Relief
Canadian supplement giant Iovate Health Sciences International Inc. under its brand name EPIQ™ have teamed up with GNC® to provide a donation to the FDNY Foundation to benefit a firehouse that suffered a total loss of their fitness equipment as a result of flooding from Hurricane Sandy.
In an effort to show gratitude for the City of New York's brave first responders of Engine 4 Ladder 15, Iovate and GNC's contribution to the FDNY Foundation will refurbish the station's gym with all new fitness equipment such as treadmills, a dumbbell rack, and medicine balls, as well as new top of the line EPIQ™ supplements.
Brent Coward, Director, Brand Management - Sports Nutrition of Iovate Health Sciences Inc., presented the equipment to Captain David Drake, a 16-year veteran of the FDNY.
"The acts of heroism these firefighters show every day is an inspiration to all of us at Iovate and GNC, and we are proud to honor such brave members of the community. It is with sincere appreciation to the City of New York's first responders that we help rebuild their fitness facility after Hurricane Sandy and provide them with premium quality EPIQ™ supplements," said Coward.
Engineered by Iovate Health Sciences International Inc., EPIQ™ is a new breakthrough line of powerful, specialized muscle building supplements designed for men and women seeking the best in athletic performance. With its clean formulation approach, EPIQ™ products are guaranteed free of harmful impurities, artificial dyes or colors, and banned substances (WADA).
