Former WWE Wrestler Arrested for Meth Possession

Former WWE wrestler X-Pac was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport after he allegedly tried to carry meth and marijuana through customs, TMZ Sports reports.

X-Pac, a.k.a. Sean Waltman, was flying out to a wrestling event in the United Kingdom when Customs officials stopped him and found the drugs. The police were called and the WWE legend was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, TMZ reports. Police also discovered the Waltman had an active outstanding warrant from a previous DUI arrest.

Waltman has had a troubled past which includes drug use and he once tried to take his own life. He was previously arrested for drug possession in 2011 in Florida where he was released on a bond. He later revealed to Steve Austin in an interview that the got hooked on crystal meth when he moved to Los Angeles.

“Pac” let everyone know on Twitter that he did not relapse and was “still mentally strong and healthy” after the arrest. He said he’ll explain what happened on his “X-Pac 12360” podcast Wednesday.

Waltman wrestled in the WWE from 1993-1996 and 1998-2000, spending time with WCW in-between. He is widely remembered for being both a part of D-Generation X and the New World Order. When he arrived in the World Wrestling Federation he was made a jobber and given a number of different names such as the Kamikaze Kid, Cannonball Kid, and The Kid. According to ProWrestling.com, In an early 2008 interview, Juventud Guerrera, who had been working with Waltman in AAA, claimed Waltman had recently tried to commit suicide due to depression. This was confirmed by The Wrestling Observer, which reported that Webb had found Waltman hanging by his neck in his Mexico City apartment, on the verge of death. He was subsequently taken back to the U.S for treatment. Reportedly, Waltman had been speaking positively of his experiences in AAA, and he has denied attempting suicide, claiming the incident was a result of mixing alcohol and anti-depressants. Following the incident, long-time friend Kevin Nash flew to Texas to check Waltman into a rehabilitation facility for both his addiction and his psychiatric state. Nash also contacted friend Paul "Triple H" Levesque to discuss the new WWE policy of financing rehab for ex-employees.
