Bodybuilding Legend Jim Morris Passes Away
By Domenic Mauro
The bodybuilding community here in Canada has lost a great friend, colleague and true ambassador of the sport of bodybuilding. Based in Ontario, Canada, Jim Morris and his business partner Norm Jacobs (Jamor) have been promoting events for almost 30 yrs. The most notable being the Festival City Classic. This show has been running for 29 years and is a true testament of Jim’s passion and dedication to the growth of the sport. Along with principal promoter Ron Hache, Jim has also had a hand in the growth of the Toronto Pro Show; now Canada’s largest Expo and competition of its kind. Jim’s dedication and hard work towards the growth of the sport didn’t go unnoticed. In 2016 Jim was recognized with the Life Time Achievement Award. On a personal note, Jim was a very kind and generous man. He gave us one of the greatest gifts that a person could give; he believed in us and encouraged us to “keep doing what you’re doing”. Jim welcomed Muscle Insider Magazine to cover his shows when many doubted or questioned who we were. It didn’t matter what hardships he may have been going through, Jim always had a smile on his face and a firm handshake to welcome us to his shows. Thank you Jim! You will be greatly missed, but rest in peace knowing that your legacy will live on in the lives you’ve touched and the standards you’ve set.
