The bodybuilding world is still in shock following the passing of Jo Lindner, better known as “Joesthetics,” who passed away suddenly at the age of 30. Lindner’s girlfriend, Nichamon “Nicha” Komkai confirmed his death with an Instagram post, noting he died because of an aneurysm. An official cause of death via autopsy has yet to be released.

Members of the fitness industry have made several posts in the days following Lindner’s death, paying respect and sharing memories they have of them. Some of those comments can be seen below.

“I’m broken bro. You opened your arms up to us, you showed us so much about life and social media. Your generosity towards myself and others will always stay with me.” - Noel Deyzel

“So sorry for your loss❤️ My family and I will keep you all in our prayers.” - Seth Feroce, IFBB Pro and CEO of Axe and Sledge

“I’m so sorry for your loss! RIP.” - Craig Gollias

“You will be missed Joe. R.I.P. The nicest guy in the industry did not deserve this.” - Larry Wheels

“You will be missed and always remembered, brother.” Arash Rahbar

“Still can't believe it! RIP Jo.” - Hany Rambod

Lindner was best known as a social media influencer in the fitness world, but he was also a competitor. He had entered the NPC Worldwide Thailand Bangkok Pro Qualifier as a Men’s Physique competitor, and he finished in second place, showing potential that he could’ve become an IFBB Pro. He may have been best-known to some fans for his “rippling muscle disease,” where he can make his chest ripple when flexing it. He had a large following online with over 9 million Instagram followers and another 1 million subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Komkai noted in her post that Lindner had been dealing with neck pain, perhaps insinuating that it may have been a symptom resulting in his death. Hopefully his followers, friends, and others will take that as advice that if you’re dealing with any unexpected discomfort, then you should address and see a doctor. It could very well save your life as well.

Even a week after his passing, supporters and loved ones are feeling the loss with no other details to share. We will share new developments if they come out. Everyone at Muscle Insider offer their condolences to Lindner’s family, friends, and fans around the world.
