Athleticon Date Moved to 2022

The bodybuilding world has been waiting for the day we get to see the inaugural Athleticon to take place in Atlanta, Georgia. What was originally announced as the ICON World Classic, scheduled to take place October 9-11, 2020, was obviously delayed due to the pandemic. The new schedule expected to have Athleticon postponed to October 2021. Since the recent announcement that the 2021 Olympia will be held October 7-10 in Orlando, Florida, fans were left wondering what that would mean for Athleticon.

When plans were finally in place, Athleticon was slated to take place on October 9-10, 2021. I assure you, there is not a fan or competitor alive that would want to have to choose which event to attend. Fortunately, we will not be forced to make a choice between the two. Reports have stated that the first-ever Athleticon has now been rescheduled for some time in April 2022.

While the excitement for this new show is getting to the point of an unbearable anticipation, fans would much rather witness this event in its full glory, rather than under the looming cloud of the Olympia competition taking place at the same time. From what we’ve heard of the production value Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Dany Garcia are expected to provide, it will be well worth the wait.
