Last week Arnold Schwarzenegger posted to his social media platforms, an image that resembles a movie poster with him taking on the role of Zeus, with the only comment reading “coming February 2022.” The cryptic post set fans in a frenzy, thrilled over the idea of Arnold playing the god of thunder. What may come as a disappointment to some fans, BMW just released this teaser commercial on its YouTube channel, likely leading up to a new electric vehicle unveiling during a Superbowl commercial airing February 13th.
Schwarzenegger is set to reprise his role as King Conan in an upcoming Netflix TV series. Released in 1982, Conan the Barbarian was Arnold’s break-out role, which became a cult classic amongst sword and sorcery movie fans. While it would be incredible to see Schwarzenegger in another action film as the famed sky and thunder god of Greek mythology, we believe this is nothing more than a teaser for an upcoming Superbowl commercial.
