Are Rumours of Phil Heath Retiring True

It's hard to deny that 7-time Mr. Olympia Champion Phil Heath, is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. Heath has said that he was “gifted” with great genetics, but he also worked his ass off to take full benefit of this gift. After losing the title in 2018 to Shawn Rhoden, Heath sat out in 2019 to rest and work on fixing the issues he had with his abdomen area. When he returned to the Olympia stage last year at the 2020 Olympia in Orlando, Florida, he faced fierce competition and a very disappointing third place behind Big Ramy and Brandon Curry. This left many fans wondering if this may just be the end of Heath’s competitive career.

Some rumors again began to rumble from what seemed to be a very cryptic message posted to Heath’s Instagram stories. In the message, one can interpret Phil Heath seems to be contemplating retirement. It can also be interpreted as encouraging words from one human being to another during these uncertain times of a global pandemic. We’re pretty sure that Phil wouldn’t dance around the subject with his fans, but instead be more straight forward with it. When the time comes for Phil to actually retire, he’ll let us all know straight up. Until then, look forward to the next time he plans to smash the stage!

“You’re ready. A new chapter has been hovering over you for a long period of time, the door you’ve been looking for will finally be revealed. You won’t be waiting much longer now; the Universe is eager to show you the blessings it has made for you,” the post that Heath shared reads. “You’re in the final stretch of another transformative chapter, smile knowing it’s all coming to a peaceful end. The lessons you needed to learn are now engrained permanently in your mind. The habits you needed to kick are now a memory of your past. The energies you needed to let go of have been released from your mind, heart, and spirit. These final moments, before you ascend, requires the utmost faith, patience, and humility from your soul. What’s waiting on the other side of that door for you is beyond anything you’ve ever visualized. Prepare to be amazed; the warrior in you has earned its divine surprise.”
