AMI Media Announces Dan Solomon as Vice President and Chief Olympia Officer
Our good friend Dan Solomon comes to the iconic Olympia brand with a hefty background in fitness and nutrition. He's well known for his role as co-executive producer in the motion picture Bigger, as well as the former Publisher of Digital Muscle. He’s also a recipient of the IFBB Professional League's highest honour; the "Achievement Medal", recognizing outstanding contributions and service towards the growth of the IFBB Pro League and the sport of Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure, a graduate of the University of Hartford, and a member of the International Society of Sports Nutrition. AMI Media not only owns the Olympia brand, but has magazines like Muscle & Fitness, Men's Fitness, US Weekly, and have purchased other brands like Star and Globe Communications. AMI Media and Solomon are a natural fit for each other. Robin Chang will continue as Executive Producer of the 2019 Olympia event in working with Solomon.
Dan Solomon had this to say about his new position,
"Our industry has endured so many changes over the years, but the Olympia has sustained itself as our most celebrated showcase event. It's truly an honor to oversee the ongoing growth of the Olympia while joining one of the most influential media companies in the world."
AMI Executive Vice President and Group Publishing Director Chris Scardino said,
“This is the perfect time to add a creative and talented executive like Dan to our team as we build on the incredible momentum of 2018's historic event,". "AMI is committed to the continued growth of this event and to providing our fans, sponsors and exhibitors a bigger, better, and more exciting Olympia every year. Dan brings a unique blend of expertise, knowledge and leadership to help make that happen."
