The 2017 Ben Weider Legacy Cup to be held in Toronto, Ontario Canada

During an IFBB meeting in Spain in early October 2016, IFBB President Rafael Santonja announced that Canada will be hosting the 2nd Ben Weider Legacy Cup! The date is set for October 20th/21st in Toronto, Ontario. This contest is being promoted by Power House Gyms, who will also be the title sponsor. The top 15 competitors from 2017 CBBF Nationals and IFBB World Qualifier will be allowed to compete, along with the top 5 from 2016 CBBF Nationals.

Over all winners from Bodybuilding, figure, bikini, men’s physique, and women’s physique will receive an IFBB pro card. The OPA is looking forward to putting a strong team together along with other provinces for another opportunity to compete for that elusive IFBB a pro card. The OPA is extremely proud to help promote this event which will be held at the International Plaza Hotel.

This international event will be open to residents of Canada, the USA and Mexico. A strong turn out at this show for a second year in a row could signal an annual event in Ontario - Who knows?! It would be great to add this show as a staple to our IFBB Pro schedule along with the Toronto Pro and the Vancouver Pro.
