As exciting as the Olympics are, and as much as we love to watch our favourite athletes from our favourite countries win medals, we also like to watch horrifying things. So here you go. Probably best to not be eating or drinking anything while watching.

French Gymnast Breaks Leg on Day 1 of Rio Olympics

Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten was in first place with only 10km to go in the Women's Road Race when she took a sharp turn and crashed violently off of her bike. Keep watching after 37 seconds to hear the commentators for this one.  She ended up with 3 cracked vertebrae.  She had 6 miles left in an 87 mile course and was in the lead.  The day before, one of the men broke his collarbone on the same turn
