2 Year Anniversary of his Death: Greg Plitt remembered
Although Greg Plitt passed away 2 years ago, his memory lives on within the fitness industry. He lived and breathed fitness. He was one of the most passionate people you could ever meet; it was easy to get fired up and ready to go to the gym just by typing his name into Youtube, and watching a few minutes of any of his training/motivational videos. Plitt had been a fitness buff from the time he was young when his dad bought a home gym in sixth grade, and was further inspired after seeing how his older sister changed after her first year in the United States Naval Academy. Plitt was also a proud Army Ranger for many of his adult years, which also helped him build his world-famous physique, and give him an appreciation for the athletic side of the sport, not just the aesthetic one.
"That transformation that you see when someone becomes a soldier," he says, "many of them come in with real bad attitudes. They're tough guys on the street and nobody's going to tell them what to do. Then one day, they'll come to you crying, saying, 'I need someone to talk to.' All of sudden they start changing their ways and they become the men they always wanted to be. Then other soldiers start looking up to them as role models. Then they're proud and they hold their heads high. That's more gratifying than anything I've done. That's what's so cool about it — to be able to train somebody and transform them and bring out all of the great qualities that everyone possesses."
With dozens of magazine covers to his name, Greg was one of the most recognizable names and faces in the fitness model industry. He represented Met-RX for a number of years, and starred in TV shows such as 'Work out' and 'Friends to to Lovers' in addition to the film "The Perfect Physique." Greg was one of the most diverse athletes and personalites we've seen in the sport, and there doesn't seem to be any athlete, professional, amateur, recreational, or competitive, how had a bad word to say about him. He was dedicated to his craft, to perfecting his body, and to inspiring the world to not just look better, but be better as well. Greg Plitt’s YouTube speeches have gone viral, and he is best known for his straight talk, strong language and no excuse mindset.

"The little things that you do every single day, that you choose to do, could be the little bit of better forms. All those little things, will adds up to be failure or success. You gotta create each one, every single day."
