Don’t call them action figures; they’re collectible statues! Get ready for the new era of Schwarzenegger merchandise with the all-new 2016 product reveals by Chronicle Collectibles! This company of collectors and prop makers has a shared vision of recreating and bringing Hollywood’s most iconic props and iconic characters to life and as you’ll see, Chronicle Collectibles has captured a perfect likeness of Arnold Schwarzenegger! Thanks to a very talented staff of Arnold fans and new technology to use the actual digital files of the actor’s face, we can all prepare for some of the greatest Terminator and Conan the Barbarian products ever.

“I’ve been an Arnold fan forever,” says Paul Francis, art director of Chronicle Collectibles. ”I’ve been the T2 licensee, and I’ve produced most of the 1:1 props sold through Sideshow. Now I’m the Terminator Genisys licensor, and it’s been a lot of fun. We produced a million products for Loot Crate. 500,000 1:2 Terminator Skulls and 500,000 Brain Chip keychains. Now we’re producing our quarter-scale figures, and we started with the T-800 Guardian. We used the CGI files, and Dean really captured Arnold from the film. Our 1:2 Terminator bust series has been very popular, and once again we utilized the 1984 Arnold CGI files to make the piece so real and lifelike. We plan on two more busts from Genisys.”

Conan the Barbarian: King Conan
“We are producing a King Conan and many other Conan pieces. We love Arnold and Conan is one of his more memorable roles,” says Francis. For the first time ever, Arnold fans and collectors will get the opportunity to get a Conan the Barbarian statue depicting the end scene where Schwarzenegger, as the older, bearded king, sits on his king’s throne with a troubled brow.

“We do hand-sculpted parts and digital prints to make our pieces the best they can be. We have artists who clean up our pieces and sculpt in areas like Kristina Francis. We have artists who build our bases and models; Richard Long is a genius at scratch-building. We also use the best painters, Nathan Eakins does all of our human figures; in my opinion, he’s the best. It’s a very collaborative effort at Chronicle, and we use everything at our disposal. I also want to mention Bob Lindenmayer; he’s our genius box designer.”

1984 Terminator Genisys™ Battle-Damaged 1:2 Scale Bust
This product came to life using the CGI scan files as a base and a little work from the team of artists to match the battle damage from Terminator Genisys after the fight scene between the 1984 Terminator and the Guardian in Griffith Park. The battle damage is accurate to the film, and his T-800 eye is wired to light up. All of these units will be numbered.

Terminator Genisys™ Quarter-Scale Guardian

The first hand is equipped with a rifle that he uses in the film. The second hand will feature the magnetic rings he uses to fight the T-3000 at the end of the film.

Terminator collectors will be happy to hear Chronicle Collectibles has more products to come and images will be revealed in early 2016 on its Facebook page.

”We will be producing several 1:6 Arnold pieces in a jointed figure,” says Francis. “We also plan to do a clean (without the endoskeleton damage) version of Arnold from the 1984 scenes in Terminator Genisys.”

All of their products are molded, cast, or grown from the original puppets, props, studio molds, sculptures, and digital files provided by the incredible licensors. Other non-Arnold-related licensed collectibles from Chronicle Collectibles include Jurassic Park: The Lost World, RoboCop, Buck Rogers, and Ghostbusters.

“We’re always looking for new films to license, and Arnold films are high on my list,” says Francis about the future of Schwarzenegger collectibles.
