The 2020 Olympia was faced with numerous forms of adversity thanks to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, the team led by Jake Wood and Dan Solomon were able to put on a successful weekend in Orlando, Florida that was appreciated by fans and athletes alike. This year, the Olympia promoters are looking to go bigger and better beyond the competitions that will take place onstage.

On September 4th, Olympia President Dan Solomon announced that the traditional Olympia Expo that fans would attend in years’ past would evolve into a new event. The Olympia World Fitness Festival will debut at the 2021 Olympia Weekend in Orlando, Florida during the weekend of October 8th and 9th. It will be held in the West Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center, the same building that the Olympia competitions themselves will be held.

“The expo is a great tradition. We are now calling it the Olympia World Fitness Festival because it’s a true celebration of the overall fitness lifestyle,”

Solomon wrote in the announcement. He also partnered with a familiar name to make this festival something for fans to remember.

“We brought in Tim Gardner to oversee our new tradeshow vision, and the entire team has worked extremely hard to create an elevated experience for everyone. The response we’ve received from sponsors and exhibitors has been nothing short of incredible.”

Gardner is a show promoter that has been putting on competitions in bodybuilding for the last several years. The World Fitness Festival has over 100 exhibitors confirmed already with more expected to be added in the coming weeks leading up to the Olympia. The main stage of the Festival will feature the inaugural Wellness Olympia as well as pre-judging of the other Olympia divisions.

Other events that are mentioned to be showcased include American Strongman, powerlifting, Zumba Fitness, MAS wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, United Arm Wrestling, basketball, and more. The press release also mentions that celebrities will be involved in many of these events as well.

Tickets for the two-day festival are available now over at the Mr. Olympia website.
