Boston Pro 2022 Preview and Predictions

Less than one week after the 2022 Arnold Classic, bodybuilding’s positive momentum rolls on into the city of Boston, MA. The inaugural Boston Pro is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 12th. The winners of all the contests held at this show will earn automatic qualification to the 2022 Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas, NV this December. The full rosters for all seven IFBB Pro League divisions can be seen on the IFBB Pro League website.

Men’s Open

Absent of Arnold Classic Champion Brandon Curry, the rest of the top five from the Arnold will be in this lineup. The second through fifth place finishers, William Bonac, Steve Kuclo, Samson Dauda, and Justin Rodriguez respectively, will be a part of the 11-man lineup, and they will likely be the top four in this contest. Bonac put up a heck of a fight against Curry in Columbus, but came up just short. We think that will not be the case here, and we believe that “The Conqueror” will leave the stage victorious.

William Bonac

  • Steve Kuclo
  • Justin Rodriguez
  • Samson Dauda
  • Regan Grimes

Classic Physique

Urs Kalecinski is coming off a third-place finish last weekend, and placed fourth in the 2021 Olympia before that. We have no reason to believe that he won’t place first in this lineup. The second through fifth spots are toss ups, but Divine Wilson can potentially be The Miracle Bear’s runner-up in this contest.

  • Divine Wilson
  • Tony Duong
  • Michael Bell
  • Lamar Shaw

Men’s Physique

2022 Arnold Classic Men’s Physique winner Erin Banks decided to jump in this contest since he has so much momentum going in his favor. That momentum will probably continue in Boston. He would have to be way off the mark to be defeated in this show. As for the rest of the top three, Diogo Montenegro will push Banks for the top spot, but will likely finish in second place, and Emmanuel Hunter can place in the top three for the second contest in a row. This would be a switch from what happened in Columbus.

Erin Banks

  • Diogo Montenegro
  • Emmanuel Hunter
  • Antoine Weatherspoon
  • Riccardo Croci

Fitness

There are only six competitors in this lineup, and one of them is former Arnold and Olympia winner Missy Truscott, who is coming off a second-place finish at this year’s Arnold to Ariel Khadr. It’s hard to see the Canadian superstar losing two straight weeks. So, we think she will place first here.

Missy Truscott

  • Jaclyn Baker
  • Tamara Vahn
  • Aurika Tyrgale
  • Stephanie Jones

Figure

2022 Figure International third and fourth place finishers Lola Montez and Nicole Zenobia Graham are going to be the top two in this contest, but we think that their positions will flip at this show. If Graham can pull off the victory, it could be a big momentum shift for her as the season progresses. Wendy Fortino will learn from mistakes that resulted in her 10th place finish at the Arnold, which we think will help her place in the top three at this show.

Nicole Zenobia Graham

  • Lola Montez
  • Wendy Fortino
  • Bojana Vasiljevic
  • Maude Exantus

Bikini

The key matchup in this contest will be between 2019 Olympia winner Elisa Pecini and 2022 Bikini International runner-up Maureen Blanquisco. Blanquisco placed ahead of Pecini in Columbus, but there’s a good chance Pecini will avenge that result in this show. The rest of the top five is wide open, which will make it more intersting for the fans.

Elisa Pecini

  • Maureen Blanquisco
  • Alessia Facchin
  • Eli Fernandez
  • Crystal Leigh

Wellness

Angela Borges was the favorite for the Arnold, but Isabelle Nunes pulled off the upset and left Columbus as the first Wellness International winner. This time, history will belong to Borges as the first Boston winner in her division. Yarishna Ayala and Julia Chitarra de Mello will round out the top three.

  • Julia Chitarra de Mello
  • Daisha Johnson
  • Lorena Regusa
