2024 Tampa Pro Mens Predictions

Contest coverage is sponsored by MUTANT!

The mid-summer classic is back, and the 2024 Tampa Pro is set to take place on August 1-3 in Tampa, FL, and promoter Tim Gardner will host 10 Olympia qualifying divisions. The only one absent is the Wheelchair Bodybuilding division.

You know how this goes by now. We show you the rosters, predict the winners, and see who comes out on top in our recap. We will start our predictions for this show with the gentlemen and follow up with the women’s divisions after. You can see the full rosters in our Instagram post HERE.

Before we get into this, special thanks to our friends over at MUTANT for their support of our coverage for the Tampa Pro. Go check them out at www.iammutant.com.

Men’s Open Bodybuilding

Both Vladyslav Sukhoruchko and Tim Budesheim were very impressive at the Chicago Pro, but Mohamed Foda came out on top. It would make sense that they would be the top contenders for this show, but Jon Delarosa is also in this lineup, and he is coming off very impressive fourth place finishes at both the Arnold Classic and Arnold Classic UK shows. He was also runner-up at this show in 2023. We can’t see him being denied in Tampa. So, we believe the Olympia qualification for this show will go to him.

  2. Vladyslav Sukhoruchko
  3. Tim Budesheim

Men’s 212 Bodybuilding

Former Olympia 212 champion David Henry is looking to show he still has what it takes to win shows. He is facing off against a new generation of 212 superstars, including Jordan Janowitz and Morad Zahir, who are both looking to show they can be among the elite of the division. Henry is a great champion, and he is certainly capable of winning this show, but we think an upset could happen as well. Morad finished fourth in Chicago, after having to cut just over 10 pounds in 20 hours prior to weigh-ins to make weight. With better preparation this time, Zahir is our choice for the win.

  2. David Henry
  3. Jordan Janowitz

Classic Physique

The Classic Physique division has a deep and long lineup, but the names that stood out to us were Alexander Westermeier, who will be competing for the third time this year, Gabriel Zancanelli, who has already qualified for the Olympia, and rising star Benjamin Zimmerman. If Zancanelli wins, then no Olympia invite is awarded, but his spot is safe even if he loses. However, Westermeier has not competed in the Olympia since 2022, and he is chomping at the bit to get back onstage. With that in mind, we think he will put everything together and clinch the win in the Sunshine State.Photo courtesy Tayfun Ayra

Men’s Physique

Sadik Hadzovic had issues with the final stages of his prep and came in off at the Chicago Pro, which led him to a sixth-place finish. He has vowed to redeem himself in Tampa, and we think he will come in better for sure. However, Ahmed Shokry was also impressive in Chicago, finishing in second place, which was only his second IFBB Pro show. We see this show coming down to them, and it would not be a surprise if Hadzovic won, but we’ve got Shokry taking it this time around.

  3. Mario Stewart
