The 2024 Rising Phoenix / Arizona Pro Show is done and dusted. This big event took place in Phoenix, Arizona on August 24, 2024, and we saw history made. Angela Yeo gave four-time Rising Phoenix and reigning Ms. Olympia Champion Andrea Shaw her first loss in five years, to be crowned the new Rising Phoenix World Champion.

That is the main headline for that show, but all six women’s divisions were featured in this show, and there were several other stories that came from those categories as well. Let’s take a quick look back at all the happenings in Phoenix.

Rising Phoenix World Championship Winner – Angela Yeo

There was a lot of excitement around the main event. Some fans had Yeo winning while others felt Shaw should be holding a fifth title. The judges weren’t even unanimous on who won because only a single point separated the two. Nonetheless, Yeo is the champion and has a lot of momentum now going into the 2024 Ms. Olympia in Las Vegas on October 11-12, 2024. Shaw recognizes that she will need to dial in the conditioning for her return to the Olympia stage. Andrea was joined in the top five by Ashley Lynnette Jones, Sherry Priami, and Michaela Aycock in that order. All five top finishers are already qualified for the Ms. Olympia.

  1. Angela Yeo
  2. Andrea Shaw
  3. Ashley Lynnette Jones
  4. Sherry Priami
  5. Michaela Aycock

Arizona Pro Fitness Winner – Stephanie Jones

Fitness and Wellness competitor Stephanie Jones took the Fitness show, but this was also a one-point decision. Jones won the Physique round and ended up second for her Routine round, while Andrea Glass placed first in the Routine round, but fourth in the Physique round. In the end, Jones managed to hold on to take the victory and 2024 Fitness Olympia roster spot. The rest of the top five are below.

  1. Stephanie Jones
  2. Andrea Glass
  3. Jeanine Taddeo
  4. Aurika Tyrgale
  5. Amanda Leal

Arizona Pro Figure Winner – Jessica Reyes Padilla

Jessica Reyes Padilla is cementing a legacy as one of the greatest competitors in the Figure division’s history, and she added to that by taking another win in Phoenix. It is her second of the year and number 26 in her career. She will now set her sights on seven-time Figure Olympia champion Cydney Gillon in another rematch at the Olympia. Manon Dutilly finished as a solid runner-up, and Raquel Clarke rounded out the top three.

Arizona Pro Bikini Winner – Adair Libbrecht

This was somewhat of an upset for some, although we did predict Adair to win the show. Lisa Reith was already qualified for the Olympia and was trying to keep another competitor from qualifying as well, but Libbrecht spoiled that by beating her in this contest to earn her first Olympia qualification. Reith finished second and is still set for the Bikini Olympia. Ndeye Ndour settled for bronze here.

The Wellness Observer has done it again. Johnny Styles predicted that Eduarda Bezerra would make the most out of her American debut, and she in fact proved why he called her the Heir Apparent to Francielle Mattos. She was the clear winner in this show, while Simara Walter and Mariah Lyons took second and third, respectively. This is Bezerra’s second win, and she will now get her first chance at standing on the biggest stage in the sport – the 60th Olympia.
