The 2024 Chicago Pro is in the history books, and Tim Gardner’s show did not disappoint. Nine of the 11 pro divisions were featured, and all of them had 2024 Olympia qualifications at stake. There were a few wins that were expected, and there were some serious upsets. Let’s take a quick look back at what went down over the weekend in Chi-Town.

Men’s Open Bodybuilding

Ok. We didn’t see Mohamed Foda coming, but we’re not afraid to admit when we get it wrong. Foda and Vladyslav Sukhoruchko put on a show for the fans and judges, making this one of the more entertaining shows of the season. Foda left the stage as the winner thanks to his combination of conditioning and shape, both of which were unmatched. We will see him at the 60th Mr. Olympia in Las Vegas.

  1. Mohamed Foda
  2. Vladyslav Sukhoruchko
  3. Tim Budesheim
  4. Nathan Epler
  5. Jordan Hutchinson

Men’s 212 Bodybuilding

Marcello Alfonsi disrupted the 212 show, which many expected to be between Bo Lewis and Mike Condell. Like Foda in the Open, Alfonsi was simply too much to be denied, and he secured his 2024 Olympia 212 qualification as well. Lewis and Condell took second and third in that order. Alfonsi just earned his IFBB Pro Card at the Vancouver Pro Qualifier on July 13th. He followed that up by jumping into the Men’s Open Bodybuilding at the Vancouver Pro Show the next day, placing 9 out of 11. We’re excited to see what Marcello will bring to the Olympia 212 stage in October.

  1. Marcello Alfonsi
  2. Bo Lewis
  3. Mike Condell
  4. Morad Zahir
  5. Filippe Abreu

Classic Physique

Carlos Dommar was on point in Classic Physique, and the judges rewarded him with a perfect score to take the Chicago Pro Classic title. Canadian Kellen Wilson came in second place, and Austin Espy rounded out the top three.

Men’s Physique

The fourth men’s show was Men’s Physique, and it came down to Abisai Pietesz and Ahmed Shokry for the win. In the end, the man from the Netherlands took home the gold while Shokry settled for second place. The top five for this division is below. In what was anticipated to be a triumphant return to the Men’s Physique stage for Sadik Hadzovic, he just missed the top 5. He knows what he needs to work on in time for Tampa Pro in just less than two weeks.

  2. Ahmed Shokry
  3. Deke Walker
  4. Mario Stewart
  5. Dawid Wachelka

Women’s Bodybuilding

The Women’s Bodybuilding contest is now the Ms. International, and the title for 2024 went to Sherry Priami, who looked as great as she ever has. However, Hunter Henderson took home her second runner-up placing in her second pro show ever. Less than six months ago, she was on the powerlifting platform lifting for world records. If she competes again this season, she will be in the hunt for a win and Ms. Olympia invite. Mayla Ash took third in this show.
