Top 5 Biggest Dieting Mistakes
Q. What are the top 5 biggest dieting mistake you see people make?
1. Eating clean 24-7: By allowing yourself scheduled cheat meals, you will help prevent uncontrollable binges. This will allow visible progressions in your body and help you stay on track.
2. Eliminating carbs: Including complex carbs will allow you to sustain your energy levels throughout the day while still making gains and staying super lean.
3. Skipping a meal: Just because you’re eating less food by skipping a meal, that doesn’t mean you’re losing more weight. In fact, you’re putting your body into starvation mode and lowering your metabolism. It’s best to eat five to eight small meals throughout the day to maintain energy levels and prevent temptations to binge.
4. Thinking fat is the enemy: You absolutely need a good amount of healthy fats in your diets. They will actually increase your metabolic rate and increase fat burning, which results in weight loss.
5. Using someone else’s diet because it worked for that person: Everyone’s body and metabolism is different. It’s necessary to tailor a diet specifically to your energy levels, physical activity, and metabolism and to monitor progression to make tweaks when necessary. Just because Joe at the gym can eat 10 pounds of bison a day and stay lean, that doesn’t mean you can.
