The first ever Mr. Olympia Euro Amateur Bodybuilding Championships took place earlier in London, England this past weekend. Sami Al Haddad of Bahrain won the "up to 90kg" class and the overall title. This win allowed him to qualify for IFBB Pro status. If he accepted IFBB Pro Status, Sami Al Haddad would be allowed to compete this weekend in the British Grand Prix (202 and under class). But Sami he did NOT accept the IFBB Pro Card according to sources! Tomas Bures, who took second in the Heavyweight Class at the Arnold Amateur was then offered the Pro Card and gladly accepted it! Thomas is from the Czech Republic and is the IFBB's newest pro! But why did Sami turn down the IFBB Pro card? Was he upset with officials over not won the overall a few weeks back at The Arnold Classic amateur show? Is he simply looking to grow more as an amateur before turning pro so that he's more competitive? Or is he simply waiting to read the current issue of MUSCLE INSIDER before he takes the plunge to turn pro? Okay, bad joke! We're not sure but we're working on finding out!  Follow us on Twitter for instant updates on this and other bodybuilding news stories.
