GH Blue Tops

Q.  Dan, I just picked up some GH and it’s 8 iu per vial. I normally use the 10 iu/via blue tops and I don’t have any problems measuring it out. The 8 iu stuff is expensive and really don’t want to mess up. How the hell do I mix and measure it?

A.  It’s essentially the same process as mixing the blue tops. I think the problem you are having is with the math or you may be confusing the units of GH with units of liquid. Either way I’ll try to break it down so that it’s easier to understand.

Step 1: First you’ll need some insulin syringes. Go to your local pharmacy and pick up a box of BD Ultra-Fine Long ½ cc insulin syringes. Make sure you get the ½ cc ones as they will be a bit more accurate. “Long” or 12.7mm (1/2 inch) will give you more options so also make sure you pick up those ones – you’ll be able to shoot IM more effectively or Sub-Q if that is what you desire. Memorize the size and maybe check out the boxes before you visit the pharmacist. You’ll get less suspicious looks from the guy in the lab coat if you know what you want. Simply asking “Hey bro give me some of them there slin pins” is just not going to cut it. Next you’ll have to pick up some bacteriostatic water. You should be able to get the water on-line, from a compounding pharmacy or you may even be able to get if from your source when you pick up your GH. A 30 mL bottle should set you back $5.00. Now you should be ready to mix it all up.

Step 2: Swab the tops of the water and GH to ensure a clean surface.

Step 3: Draw 50 units of air into the fresh syringe and insert it into the water. Inject all the air and draw 50 units of water into the syringe. When I say 50 units I mean 50 ticks on the syringe. If you bought the syringes like I suggested above it will be almost the entire barrel of the syringe.

Step 4: Insert the syringe into the GH vial and slowly inject the water onto the side of the vial.

Step 5: Draw another 50 units of air into the syringe and inject it into the water. Draw 50 units of water into the syringe.

Step 6: Insert the syringe in the GH vial for a second time and inject the water the same as previously instructed. You should now have 100 units of water (1 cc) in the GH vial.

Step 7: Slowly swirl until all the GH is dissolved. Now here’s a good tip – you’ll know if you have good GH if the GH dissolves instantly. You may have to swirl a bit but if it takes 5 minutes to dissolve all the powder then you may want to look for another source. Also, when you inject the water the first time the plunger should move by itself – you shouldn’t need to press against it. That’s another tell-tale sign that you have good GH.

Ok now it’s time for some math. You’ll now have 8 iu of GH in 100 units of water. That means you have 4 iu of GH in 50 units of water, 2 iu of GH in 25 units of water and 1 iu of GH in 12.5 units of water. If your cycle requires 2 iu of GH you’ll have to draw out 25 units of water – you should get 4 draws from 1 vial. Please note that this only holds true for your 8 iu GH – it will differ for the 10 iu GH blue tops.
- Employ proper injection techniques when taking your GH.

Hopefully, I’ve cleared up your confusion when mixing GH. Like I mentioned previously, you probably just got the units of water mixed up with the units of growth. It’s a common mistake when mixing GH. Come to think of it measuring out units of insulin is another common problem. I’ve heard of several bodybuilders taking 100 iu of insulin instead of taking the desired 10 iu because 10 iu “doesn’t look like enough in the syringe.” It’s the typical bodybuilder more is better mentality. Trust me; 10 iu of insulin is a very small amount on the syringe. Make sure you know what you are doing before you start playing with peptides – a small mistake could cost you, at the very least, several dollars and in the worst case scenario a trip to the ER or the morgue.
