Ecdysterones For Growth?

QUESTION: From what I’ve heard, ecdysterones might have anabolic properties. Are they really any good for muscle growth or just a complete scam?

ANSWER: Here’s a two-word answer: complete scam! Basically, ecdysterones are plant sterols that are used by insects. They do in fact have some anabolic properties, but only in insects. Unless you have a pet spider that you want to enter in a bodybuilding contest, don’t waste your time or money on this useless crap. Just because something has an anabolic effect in an insect it doesn’t mean it’s going to do the same thing in the human body. It’s a shame that some lowlife supplement companies would actually try to peddle that crap to hardworking bodybuilders to simply make a few extra bucks.
