Building The Teardrop

Q. I’ve been training my legs hard of late and added some pretty good size to my outer sweep. My problem is that I just can’t seem to add size to the teardrop muscle just above the knee. What are the best exercises I can do to get the teardrop muscle to grow?

A. Full (meaning ass-to-grass) front squats and hack squats will do the trick, brother. Try hitting them heavy twice per week for 4 sets of 6 to 8 reps each for about a month. You’ll be on your way to sporting a brand new set of wheels!
