Despite a steady climb in the fitness industry and numerous first-place rankings at provincial and national levels, IFBB pro Maria Morrone was forced to take a pause. Personal loss triggered a change in perspective and a renewed focus on nutrition. A self-confessed foodie, Maria says, “In this industry, there is a constant pressure on trainers to come up with something new and original. [But] what is new and useful these days?” These days, Maria’s passion lies in educating herself and clients on dietary wellness/health, nutritious food and supplement choices, and searching for more effective ways to prevent and cure degenerative diseases.
