Cee Anna Kerr
IFBB PRO CEA ANNA KERR
By Tina Goinarov
IFBB pro Cea Anna Kerr became a cyclist in high school as her older brother was on a cycling team. She would see him go to the gym with the team for his weight training, and eventually she started going with him a couple times a week and really enjoyed lifting the weights. At the age 18, she started training with a female bodybuilder as she was fascinated with how they looked and the great shape they were in.
In 1990, Cea Anna went and watched a bodybuilding show for the first time. “I knew I wanted to compete one day,” she says. “In 1993 I entered my first bodybuilding show. I competed in 1994 for the second time in bodybuilding. In 1998 I competed in sport aerobics with a team. I then thought I would try fitness competitions, so I entered the 1998 and 1999 America Fitness shows on ESPN. Without a gymnastics background, I found it too tough to compete in fitness, so I turned to figure competitions.”
In 2006, Cea Anna won the Saskatchewan Provincial Overall Figure. In 2007, she went to Nationals and received her IFBB pro card after winning the Masters Division.
In 2008, she competed in her first IFBB pro show in figure, and went on to do pro figure shows from 2008 to 2011. With the introduction of women’s physique in 2012, Cea Anna says she “knew it would be a better fit for me as I was always told I was too big for pro figure. After getting positive feedback from the judges, I knew this is for me.”
IFBB Canadian women’s physique pro Cea Anna Kerr will be competing in the 2014 Toronto Pro SuperShow for the fourth year in a row. She has placed second the last two years and is hoping to dominate again in 2014 by bringing an even better package to stage.
IFBB pro Cea Anna Kerr works full time for the government and trains out of a basement gym.
