Supplement Source Adds GABA To Essentials Line

A little over one year ago, we shared the news that SupplementSource.ca had launched their own supplements line., which included unflavoured Creatine Monohydrate and Glutamine. The line has since expanded to include L-Carnitine, Creatine HCL, and even ZMB6. We’re now seeing that SupplementSource.ca has added GABA to its Essentials Line of products, which comes in a 166 serving container, providing 750 mg of GABA per serving. GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) is a potent neurotransmitter which is necessary for restful sleep & to aid in recovery. Commonly referred to as “the brain’s natural calming agent,” this amino acid works by inhibiting over-stimulation of the brain and is often used to help promote relaxation and ease nervous tension. Studies have even shown that GABA has the potential to increase HGH (human growth hormone). One specific clinical trial found that while at rest, GABA supplementation increased both immunoreactive GH (irGH) and immunofunctional GH (ifGH), compared to a placebo. At peak concentrations, both hormones were elevated by about 400%.
