Nutrabolics Anabolic State Gets 3 New Flavors

When you look at the Nutrabolics line-up, Anabolic State has been a staple product of the brand for quite some time. It was just announced that Anabolic State will be getting 3 new flavors. These are being released as Limited Edition Summer flavors, which include Watermelon Splash, Pineapple Twist, and Orange Splash. The formula uses sucralose to sweeten the product, so if you’re someone who doesn’t want to use any artificial sweeteners, this one’s not for you. Anabolic State is sold in a 375 gram bottle, delivering 30 servings per container at an MSRP of $49.99 which works out to $1.67 per serving. Each scoop of Anabolic State weighs in at 12.5 grams and is made up of:

  • 6,000 mg of BCAAs (3,000 mg Leucine, 1,500 mg Valine, and 1,500 mg Isoleucine), which is 48% of the total serving size by weight.
  • 3,000 mg of glutamine makes up 24% of the formula. So, if you’re looking for a primarily BCAA supplement with added Glutamine, then Anabolic State has you covered.
  • 500 mg Lysine HCL
  • 500 mg HICA (alpha-hydroxy-isocaproic acid)

Lysine is an EAA included in Anabolic State, which give you 4 of the 9 essential amino acids your body needs to build muscle. Our recommendation to Nutrabolics is to replace Glutamine with the remaining 5 EAAs needed by your body to build muscle and make Anabolic State a more anabolic/anticatabolic formula. Nutrabolics already has a standalone Glutamine product (which can be stacked) and there are many high-quality, low-cost Glutamine products on the market.

As noted above the formula also contains HICA, which is an older ingredient that did get some press back in 2010 when a clinical study was published on it, and HICA was touted as an HMB replacement. But that’s been ten years now and the ingredient just never lived up to its promises. Anabolic State always tastes great and although we haven’t tried anything Nutrabolics launched in about 2 years, we’re sure these new flavors will be on point.
