Allmax Impact Igniter Review

Canadians have experienced an insane demand for Allmax’s Impact Igniter after it was unleashed at the 2017 Olympia. Bodybuilders, powerlifters and other competitive athletes living in Canada have been forced to smuggle Impact over the U.S. border just to get their hands on the stuff! But Impact Igniter is finally available in Canada and it’s already become one of the most talked about pre-workout powders in the industry. And for good reason. The formula potency, the taste, the science, and even the value are all second to none. Even Muscle Insider Publisher Scott Welch was blown away by this formula when he first tried Impact Igniter in Vegas at the Allmax booth. The mixing instructions on the label are simple for Impact Igniter: Mix one scoop in 12 to 16 ounces of cold water, drink, and unleash hell! We tried it with 12, 14, and 16 ounces. Heck, we even tried it dry with no water on the tongue! In all instances, the flavour tasted great, but we found the optimal taste at a 16-ounce mixture.

Allmax Impact Igniter – Top Ingredients in Science-Backed Dosages

One scoop contains 13 different ingredients, each with a specific function. Every milligram of actives has been put together in specific ratios to give you the absolute best workout of your life. Allmax Impact Igniter has five major pathways to enhance performance, including maximizing pumps, increasing fat loss (only a few pre-workouts on the market do this), increasing training intensity, enhancing recovery, and improving mental focus.

Allmax Impact Igniter – Enhance Recovery and Increase Muscle Pumps

500 milligrams of N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) is provided to act as a potent antioxidant and cell detoxifier. It is derived from the amino acid L-Cysteine, and plays an important role in the production of glutathione, the body’s primary antioxidant. During exercise, free radicals are generated causing damage to muscle tissues. NAC helps neutralize free radicals biochemically. NAC also helps reduce fatigue and supports a natural increase in the hormone Erythropoietin (EPO). This is a hormone produced by the kidney that promotes the formation of red blood cells by the bone marrow. With EPO and overall blood volume increases, more oxygen and nutrient-rich blood can be delivered to your working muscles, helping you power through more reps and recover faster between sets. NAC has also been clinically shown to increase anaerobic performance in high volume training.

Allmax Impact Igniter – Increases Fat Loss

Caffeine is the most clinically proven ergogenic aid in sports science history. It’s for this reason that all pre-workouts and fat burners (that are worth using) have a high dose of caffeine to stim you up and help your body burn more fat. Caffeine releases free fatty acids (FFAs) from your adipose tissue and dumps these into your bloodstream to fuel your metabolism. But Allmax’s Impact doesn’t use just one type of caffeine like the pre-workouts your mom’s using! Each scoop contains a massive dose of Dicaffeine Malate, Natural Caffeine (from coffeacanephora, seed extract) and Caffeine Citrate. What is even more impressive is that for such a heavily-dosed formula, it doesn’t have the usual bitter taste that comes with pre-workouts typically containing that much caffeine. Think of consuming a crushed aspirin – we all know what that tastes like!

For further fat loss support, Impact contains one gram of L-carnitine L-tartrate which increases the amount of fatty acids used as fuel by the mitochondria, and causes your body to release stored fat. As research has shown, caffeine is one of the most powerful fat-loss ingredients ever discovered, but when combined with L-carnitine L-tartrate, these two ingredients work together to get fat released, mobilized, and oxidized!

In addition to its fat loss properties, L-carnitine L-tartrate also helps with BCAA metabolism, which makes Impact stack well with other products you may be taking, like Aminocore. The easier and faster it is for the amino acids to get to your muscles, the more ‘impact’ the supplements you take will have.

Allmax Impact Igniter - Increases Training Intensity

Impact contains 3.2 grams of Beta Alanine which helps buffer lactic acid and has been clinically proven to enhance training endurance. This is one ingredient that’s mandatory in any decent pre-workout, but most companies don’t put the full strength dose of 3.2 grams in the way Allmax has. Impact Igniter is a full-strength formula that is clinically dosed, which is why we’re huge fans of this formula. To further enhance training intensity, each serving is loaded with 6 grams (that’s 6,000 mg) of Citrulline Malate which is a Krebs Cycle Intermediate that helps regenerate ATP production, making it essential for energy production. It is also involved in ammonia clearance and postpones the inevitable decrease in muscle pH that happens during intense training. As pH drops, the muscle becomes more acidic, and fatigue rapidly sets in. Supplementing with high doses of Citrulline allows you to push a set further and recover faster. In 2010, Spanish researchers showed that athletes taking Citrulline Malate bench-pressed 50% more reps when working to the point of muscular failure than subjects taking a placebo!

Impact also contains 150 milligrams of alpha-GPC, which is a potent neural energizer, designed to enhance your mood, feelings of well-being, and cognition - all of which results in an unforgettable workout! Coupled with the mood elevation effects of a massive hit of caffeine, you’ll be grinning like a villain as you grind out the reps!

Impact Igniter Does NOT Contain Creatine

What’s interesting about Allmax’s Impact Igniter is what it doesn’t have. First of all, unlike other pre-workouts, you won’t see creatine in the ingredient list. But there’s rhyme to Allmax’s reason. A study done at Katholieke University in Belgium showed that taking caffeine while loading creatine eliminated creatine’s performance-enhancing effects. The results showed that exercise performance wasn’t improved in the group that loaded creatine while taking caffeine; the creatine-only group experienced the usual intense exercise performance benefits, but not the caffeine + creatine group. For this reason, Allmax chose not to include creatine in its pre-workout. But have no fear, if you need your creatine fix, Allmax has you covered with either C-VOL or Krush!

Impact Igniter Doesn’t Contain DMAA, DMHA or Derivatives

Methylhexaneamine (DMAA) was introduced in the supplement industry by Patrick Arnold in 2003. This amphetamine was banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in 2009 and is actually illegal in Canada! DMAA has caused more positive tests in athletics than any other stimulant in recent years. Some experts believe that DMAA may also be catabolic to muscle tissue through its effects on the central nervous system which if accurate is counterproductive to bodybuilding. The fact that Impact Igniter doesn’t have DMAA is a benefit for athletes who are subject to drug testing and those that do not want the risk of falling into a catabolic state. Also, with the banning of DMAA in North America and in other parts of the world, people have been looking for an alternative that actually works. Impact matches the energy and mental focus which you will notice from the very first serving.

Impact Igniter In a League of Its Own

By adding Allmax’s Impact pre-workout as a part of your arsenal, it will be just as beneficial as a good quality whey protein, serving a different purpose, of course. Muscle Insider readers know that all muscle gains are driven by the muscle trauma you cause while training. Waste a workout with half-assed effort and you will simply not grow. Drink Impact and blast through countless sets with ferocious intensity and you will make gains faster than you ever thought possible. Impact is available in a 328-gram size, providing 20 servings (or 40 half-scoops). You can’t go wrong with either the Fruit Punch or Blue Raspberry flavours. Depending on your tolerance, we suggest taking it 15 to 20 minutes before cardio or weight-training. Their combination pre-workout/fat-loss igniter is an essential tool in your pre-gym supplement stack. The ingredients are solid, and they all take care of a different goal in the gym, making for one of the most well-rounded pre-workouts ever formulated. Hard-hitting stims, training intensifiers, and fat metabolizers mean you get everything you need. Allmax claims that Impact Igniter really is “the pre-workout formula by which all others will be judged” and we have to agree. Side by side when you look at the ingredients, price, cost per serving, taste, reputation of the company and compare Impact with other pre-workouts flooding the market, Impact is in a league of its own like their legendary products Isoflex, A:Cuts, and Quickmass.
