GNC Announces New Global Headquarters While Increasing Focus on Walmart and Canada

Global health and wellness brand GNC today announced that the Company will be moving to a new headquarters located within the Pittsburgh metro area in early 2022, building on its 85-year history in the city. As the industry continues growing and evolving at a rapid pace, GNC also intends to hire more than 100 new employees over the next few months in Pittsburgh to support its growth and remain at the forefront of new trends in the space.

The new headquarters will be located at 75 Hopper Place in Pittsburgh's 3 Crossings development. Located within the vibrant Strip District neighborhood, 3 Crossings is the premier urban corporate campus for Pittsburgh. The location is currently under construction by Oxford Development Company and boasts a long list of amenities including a fitness center for employee use and several connections to the outdoors.

"We couldn't be more excited to announce this move as another important step forward in our brand transformation that also reinforces our commitment to our heritage as a Pittsburgh-based company. Since 1935, GNC has established its position as the authoritative brand in the health and wellness space and we will continue to shape the future of the industry within the walls of 75 Hopper Place," said Josh Burris, Chief Executive Officer at GNC. "The Strip District's energetic and eclectic spirit will provide the perfect atmosphere for our team to develop innovative solutions consumers around the world deserve. We are driving full speed ahead towards our goals. The world-class HQ site Oxford is delivering, in addition to the talented and passionate individuals we're bringing on board, will be integral in our business reaching its full potential. There's never been a more exciting time to be a part of Team GNC."

GNC plans to move into the new location immediately when it is ready for tenants early next year. The Company is excited to introduce employees to their new, state-of-the-art office space which will promote efficiency, collaboration, and flexibility. In line with these goals, GNC is developing new flexible work policies to align with today's changing workplace environment. As part of this transition, GNC also expects to soon be under contract with a buyer for its current headquarters located at 300 Sixth Ave. Over the next few months, GNC will also hire more than 100 new roles in the new headquarters across its business functions to right size workload, drive its growth strategy forward and position itself to capitalize on trends in the space faster than ever before.

We heard last week that GNC will be distributing its supplements in Walmart. shows that GNC is really pushing to get their own brand of supplements out there. Shortly after, this was followed with a job posting for a National Account Manager Walmart to manage the Walmart sales, so we can see that GNC is going all-in for this expansion in Walmart. With all the exciting things coming at GNC, there even looks to be an increased focus on Canada as they have also put up a job posting for Director, Canada Merchandising and Marketing.
