MUSCLE INSIDER Publisher Scott Welch announced on August 2ndthat author and entrepreneur Jim Stoppani, PhD, has joined the publication’s editorial team. Stoppani, a former bodybuilder and longtime science editor at Muscle & Fitness and Flex magazines, will contribute expert training and nutrition content to both the print magazine and to the MUSCLE INSIDER website. Today, Stoppani runs a highly successful sports-supplement company, California-based Jym Supplement Science. This product line is distributed in Canada by Empire Health.

“I'm thrilled to be joining the MUSCLE INSIDER team as a regular columnist,” says Stoppani. “I've been following the publication for quite some time, and it's one of the best out there in terms of offering legit information on the science of training, nutrition, and supplements. There's a reason why MI is still around as a print magazine where so many others have disappeared.”

MUSCLE INSIDER Editor Bill Geiger, who worked with Stoppani for years at Muscle & Fitness, enthused:

“We’re getting one of the top science minds in the business. I’ve used his ‘Encyclopedia of Muscle & Strength’ as a required text for all my editors because it simply contains the most relevant information on all aspects of lifting for muscle growth and strength. Jim doesn’t just present research findings, he shows you how to use the results to make improvements in your own training and nutrition.”

Stoppani’s first editorial piece will debut in the October/November issue of MUSCLE INSIDER, which hits newsstands on Sept. 10th.
