BodyPower Postponed!

According to BodyPower Director Steve Orton, BodyPower, the UK’s largest Fitness Expo, has been postponed.

Just as FIBO, and most recently, the Arnold Sports Fitness Expo in Columbus, Ohio, BodyPower is postponing the event to help slowdown and stop the spread of the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19. BodyPower took proactive and responsible actions:

“We tried our hardest to go ahead with the expo as planned, however there are a few reasons that are out of our control that have made proceeding very difficult. Firstly, we needed to consider the risk of the virus spreading at the expo in May if infected individuals were to attend, for an event of this scale it would have been irresponsible to take this risk. Secondly, the government could impose a large gatherings/ events ban at any time now so there was a huge risk they impose the ban closer to the event and then not only would we have to postpone, we would have given everyone less notice and things would be a lot more difficult for everybody, including ourselves the organisers, athletes and visitors flying in from overseas, and anyone with travel arrangements already made.”

BodyPower has been running for 12 years straight and welcomes over 100,000 visitors over 3 days to take part in an exciting expo that features over 300 exhibitors. The event, originally scheduled for May 15 to May 17, 2020, has been rescheduled to take place this fall on October 30 to November 1, 2020. It is important to note that although the expo is being postponed till the fall, some of the competitions will still run as scheduled in May. If you were planning on competing, we strongly suggest you take a look at BodyPower's FAQ website page in the coming days ahead for updates.
