The 2026 Legion Sports Fest is looking to be the biggest and best yet.
The 2026 Legion Sports Fest and Reno Fitness Expo are set for May 30th in Reno, Nevada. Promoter Chris Minnes, and his team with Center Podium, have always strived to make this event bigger and better every year, and that’s the goal for 2026 as well.
Minnes sat down with Muscle Insider CEO Andrew Bukowsky for an interview about the big event, and while Center Podium has several shows in their portfolio, he’s as excited to be hosting the event as athletes and fans are about attending.
The Reno Fitness Expo and Legion Sports Fest continues to grow into one of the premier IFBB Pro League weekends in the United States.
What to Expect at the 2026 Legion Sports Fest
“This one has grown into something different,” Minnes said. “This year, it’s going to be three blocks big.”
The expo is going to be free to attend and will include both indoor and outdoor events. Aside from bodybuilding, there will also be a strongman event, powerlifting, martial arts, food trucks, and other activities for fans to enjoy. Minnes stated that there will even be a “Globe of Death.”
“It’s when they ride around inside the globe on motorcycles.”
IFBB Pro Bodybuilding Takes Center Stage
There are several celebrities expected to be in attendance as well, including bodybuilding legend Chris Cormier, four-time Men’s Physique Olympia champion Jeremy Buendia, 2026 New York Pro champion Tonio Burton, and more. The main event of the weekend will be the IFBB Pro League events, which will feature Men’s Open Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Fitness, Bikini, and Wellness athletes facing the fans and judges with hopes of qualifying for the 2026 Olympia. Minnes emphasized that this is more than a contest in his eyes; it should and will be an experience.
“It is so important to me that our athletes and the NPC and IFBB athletes have an incredible platform to compete on. They’ve worked so hard you know and I should work at least that hard to respect the hard work that they’re putting in.”
The full rosters for the competitions will be posted on the IFBB Pro League website the week before the competition. Fans that can’t be in Reno will be able to watch the action from home on a pay-per-view livestream. It’s a one-day event, but Minnes stated that it will be an action-packed day that fans can enjoy and remember long after the day is over. Minnes has been promoting shows and events since he was a teenager, which means he’s put a lot of time into that side of the business. Even with all that experience, he knows there’s something different about this one, which is why he’s so committed to excellence every year.
Why Chris Minnes Believes Legion Is Different
“The Legion Sports Fest is wild to put on.”
