The Vancouver Pro Show is a Canadian bodybuilding tradition, and the 2024 edition will be held on the weekend of July 13-14 in Abbotsford, BC. Promoter Michelle Krack will feature three men’s and three women’s divisions at this show, and the winners will be eligible to move on to the 2024 Olympia in Las Vegas this coming October. We’ll talk about the men’s lineups soon, but let’s kick our predictions off with the ladies’ side of the stage.
The three women’s divisions are Fitness, Figure, and Bikini. You can see the rosters for those contests on our Instagram page.
Fitness
We’ll kick this off with the Fitness division. There are only five competitors, but all five are capable of putting on an incredible routine, which counts for two-thirds of the score. As great as the physique may be, the routine can make or break your overall placing. Tamara Vahn and Andrea Glass both have Olympia experience, and they appear to be the favorites going into the contest. However, you should also keep an eye on Jessica Zehr, who was fourth in this show in 2023. It would be no surprise if she moves up the rankings in 2024. One athlete you should really watch out for in Fitness is Abby Bolton. After placing 10th at the Arnold Classic, and then only two weeks later she finished 4th at the Arnold UK, she is hungry for that Olympia qualification. Based on the lineup going into the contest, we will take them as the top three.
- Tamara Vahn
- Jessica Zehr
- Abby Bolton
Figure
Five out of the eight competitors in the Figure contest will represent Canada. Manon Dutily was third at the 2024 Toronto Pro SuperShow, and there is a good chance she will look even better for Vancouver now that she has had a few weeks to make adjustments. 2018 Amateur Olympia Mandy Urner placed 13th in Toronto, but she can leap up the placings here. The dark horse in this division is Natashia Dallin Marshall, who will be making her IFBB Pro League debut after almost two years off. She turned pro at the 2022 NPC North American Championships. That will be our order of finish for the top three in Figure.
- Manon Dutily
- Mandy Urner
- Natashia Dallin Marshall
Bikini
If there is a Bikini division show and Ashley Kaltwasser is in the lineup, she must be considered a contender. The all-time winningest athlete in the IFBB Pro League is looking for win number 48, and we believe it will be hers in British Columbia. The only question is who will join her in that top three. It would be a great story if one of them was Brianna Campardo, who turned pro in Vancouver in 2023. Imagine earning your pro card one year and standing next to a legend in the following year. Another athlete to watch here would be Oleksandra Khovrych, who is coming off an 11th place finish in Toronto. She is a rookie, but with enough time to learn from new show mistakes, she can come in better for this show.
- Ashley Kaltwasser
- Oleksandra Khovrych
- Brianna Campardo
The X Factor
This is how we see the shows playing out before the weekend. However, there is a pro qualifying event here on Saturday, and the winners will be eligible to jump into the pro show immediately the next day. It would not be the first time a competitor went into a weekend as an amateur and left with an Olympia qualification. So, pay attention to the amateur shows this weekend. A star may be born in Abbotsford.
