Fouad Abiad No Longer With MuscleTech?

Canadian IFBB Pro Fouad "Hoss" Abiad will no longer be endorsing the MuscleTech supplement line after this February 1st according to Fouad. This news comes as a bit of a surprise as both Fouad and MuscleTech are based in Ontario and their association was mutually beneficial in our books. Fouad’s also been training with Hany Rambod and has made noticeable improvements to his already freaky physique. We predict that he’ll be doing some major damage at the FLEX PRO in a few months which could have tied into a great ad campaign.

The Move To Weider
You may know that Fouad recently switched from Team MD to team FLEX for a short contract leading up to the FLEX PRO. This move has been helping him get further exposure with both their magazine and their online audience. He's been doing a fantastic blog on Flexonline that's definitely worth checking out.

Contest Prep Is Expensive
Without a supplement contract, this may throw off Fouad's contest preparation from its original course. Athletes rely heavily on the money they earn from endorsement contracts to pay for the various things needed to rise to the top. Trainers fees (Hany is not cheap), enormous amounts of food, supplements, posing coaching, customized music for routines, tanning, flights, hotels, massage therapy, chiropractic, etc. But knowing Fouad, this change will fuel him to try even harder now as he’s one of the most driven pros in the game!

Opportunity Knocks
Fouad is very knowledgeable with training and diet making him a perfect endorsee for any supplement company. Fouad also has a huge fan following here in Canada and is arguably the top IFBB Pro in Canada right now. This alone may entice another Canadian supplement company to sign him real soon. Fouad told MUSCLE INSIDER owner Scott Welch that he's interested in a contract that allows him to work with a supplement company on a longer-term basis which is a great idea for both parties. But remember, not having a supplement contract opens up the opportunity to shop around for better offers. It also allows one to focus 100% of their efforts on training with no contractual obligations or appearances to get in the way. We wish Fouad well on his contract prep and we'll be surprised if another supplement company doesn’t make him an offer in the next few months.
