A. The correct stage color is the difference between taking second or third place and winning! A true athlete is one who takes every detail seriously. Winning a competition isn’t just about dieting and working out. It’s the minor details that help win a show.
The tan has to be the right color and flawless. Hair and makeup have to look like you’re ready for a front-cover photo shoot. Teeth need to be whitened, and finger- and toenails need to be polished and manicured for men and women! When it comes to a showdown between Jay Cutler and Phil Heath, or Nicole Wilkins, Erin Stern, or Ava Cowan, every single detail counts, even hair color! I think Flex Lewis should have been a little darker for the Olympia this year. His physique couldn’t have been better, but his color needed to be darker and a little more defined.
