To the Muscle Insider Community
From the first time I flipped through the pages of Muscle Insider in 2010, I have been a fan and supporter of their commitment to the bodybuilding community. That evolved into a contributing role thanks to founder Scott Welch and Dominic Mauro, which led to the honor of being named Senior Writer in 2022. While many in the industry know me as a freelance journalist, it’s also known that I do my best to show loyalty to those that gave me opportunities.
That loyalty was returned in-kind by current owners Andrew and Grace Bukowsky, and it was elevated in a way that I never imagined. I have written thousands of articles throughout my career, but the role of Managing Editor feels different. It isn’t just a new title; it’s a new mission. Before I begin that mission, I ask for a moment to speak to you, the Muscle Insider audience, directly about my intentions and goals going forward.

You will often hear media outlets claim they want to be the “best in the industry.” We are choosing a different metric. Our goal at Muscle Insider is to be the best FOR the industry. Being the best in the industry is about ego; being the best for it is about stewardship. We are here to elevate the athletes, support the brands that actually deliver, and provide you with the knowledge and inspiration to make your goals a reality. If we do our part to earn your trust and play a small role in your personal fitness success, then we all win.
